Dr. Charay Vaughn, CEO of a community talk show, “Let’s Talk About It,” focuses on community issues alongside celebrity interviews. She hails from Long Island New York, currently residing in South Carolina, she comes from a family of 10 siblings, now a mother of three beautiful girls, 20, 6, and 4 years old. She is very outgoing, active, ambitious, driven, spiritually gifted, having dreams most could not understand. She knew she wanted more out of life. Charay’s passion is mentoring the youth.
She knows the meaning of life. She started as a choreographer and then became a radio personality, actress, writer, producer, talk show host, and director of her plays and films. Some guests on the show were Bern Nadette Stanis, “Thelma from Good Times,” actor/comedian Rodney Perry, Jerry Cummings from (Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes), actress Charnele Brown from (A Different World), Malice-No Malice, rapper from (The Clipse) gospel recording artist Lisa McClendon and singer Bishop Paul Morton.
In 2014, Charay won an award in Literary Creative Writing – Poetry at The Black Women In Jazz & Fine Arts in Atlanta. Had a write-up in the local newspaper in Bennettsville, SC, and interviewed on local channel 15 news by Tonya Brown alongside five magazine write-ups such as Bronze, Vertikal, Vents, E3, and a radio one interview. Charay acts and films her work, working in the front and the back of the camera.
Charay has developed into becoming very multi-talented, and skilled in many areas, we can see her in films shown on TV One, Fox TV, HBO, and Lifetime movie “Line Sisters,” to name a few. Her films to watch include “Is This Love? The Movie” “You Stand, We Stand, together,” “Not Now,” while currently working on a short film, The Wake Up 666, featuring Stevie D from Force MD’S.
Charay’s motto, there is nothing you can not do or carry out if you put God first, pray, and work hard. She’s one of the lead characters in the new TV show Marriage Rehab, coming to TV soon. My role name is Kathy. By director Sharon Davis, and in Blind Date, a film about human trafficking, I’m an FBI Agent game Chandra Dirks. Story Written by: Melissa Leigh-Ann Palahnuk.
